Family vacation’15-S’pore

Having gone to S’pore without the kids last time made us regret and visiting the Universal studios made us feel so guilty for it suited them most than the two of us.So we decided to make it once again as a family. Our itinerary was planned via Malaysia this time in-order to pick up our son who’s a University student in KL.
So after two days of stay in KL we proceeded to our next destination.

Our journey began early in the morning since we were travelling by land. And took us nearly five hours to reach Singapore. The journey was so pleasant because of the comfortable Bus we were travelling in.

Our first attraction was GARDENS BY THE BAY.Three mesmerizing man made gardens facing the Marina water front was indeed a treat to the tiresome naked eye. This garden comprises two domes namely CLOUD FOREST and FLOWER DOME.

FLOWER DOME

Home to a collection of plants from deserts all over the world, it showcases the adaptations of plants to arid environments. Allowing us to stop and smell the flowers in the colourful changing displays of the Flower Field. We also discovered amazing plants and flowers from different corners of the globe, and were amazed by how different parts of the trees are used in daily lives across different cultures.

CLOUD FOREST

Entirely different from the Flower Dome, this extremely misty and cold Cloud Forest showcases plant life from tropical highlands up to 2,000 metres above sea level. It features a 35-metre-tall mountain covered in lush vegetation, shrouding the world’s tallest indoor waterfall.

We took the lift to the top of the mountaintop to discover the unique biodiversity and geology of cloud forests, and strolled along a walkway in the clouds for an aerial view of the mountainside below.

OCBC SKYWAY
There’s nothing quite exciting like a stroll along the OCBC Skyway. At a height of 22 metres and surrounded by panoramic vistas of the Gardens and Marina Bay skyline, this 128-metre-long aerial walkway was an extraordinary experience.

THE SUPER TREES
Measuring between 25 and 50 meters tall, these iconic tree-like vertical gardens are designed with large canopies that provide shade in the day and come alive with an exhilarating display of light and sound at night.

Day 02

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Since last time it was only the two of us,we did not attempt on going on rides, but this time it was the children’s choice and all they wanted was to go on roller coaster rides.

One hell of a day it was,the weather being so hot and unbearable. But yet filling us with so many awesome memories was never to complain.

Day 03

Shopping and Departure.

As we started off early, we managed to do a few shopping at VIVO CITY and CITY SQUARE MALL.Cos no journey is complete without a bit of shopping. And whoho would say no for shopping ,after all it was just after Christmas.
